So, what is GAYnatter... Let's start with what we're not!
We don't pretend to be a gay dating site. We're not Gaydar! We're not a site for casual hookups, or to get off on. We aren't exactly like Facebook or MySpace either.
So, what are we? Well, yes, we're a social networking site, but purely aimed at the gay, bi and lesbian community. We want to bring some of the features of sites like Facebook and MySpace into a website purely for the gay community. We won't be having "games" on the website, or applications that annoy the hell out of everyone.
We want the site to be a meeting place for people to meet other like-minded people, have fun, swap ideas. If that means people get to meet up out of it, brilliant. But primarily it's for people to share ideas, and talk about themselves and what they are up to.
We hope you like some of the features you will find on the site. For example, person to person chat, the ability to upload your own photos and create albums which you can share with everyone, or with only your friends on the site. You can even link to a favourite video on YouTube. Other cool features include the setting up for groups so you can create a meeting place for your favourite actor, film, TV series, the list is limitless. You can even link to your Twitter account so that updates you make on Twitter can be listed in your profile. And then there are the forums, so you can chat about topical subject.
We think you'll agree there is a lot more to GAYnatter than just a casual social networking website! It's a place to meet new people, and to chat to your friends, and we hope you will enjoy your visit.
